This time I learned how to ask questions tactfully, and correctly. When we want to interview a writer or a painter, we can ask some light questions in the beginning, which can help reduce their defensiveness. Because the viewers can’t see the works with their own eyes, how to make the questions sound interesting to the artist would be a big challenge. Also, I realized that audio tour should not only use voices and languages to attract viewers, but also need to leave some space for them to imagine and experience the artworks. “How can one be a good audio tour guide of artworks?” Training with art criticism, appreciation and the ability of connecting art with its history is necessary, just like Professor Lee had said.
